Yes, and the field is small enough that the options are worth comparing carefully. IGNOU and several universities run psychology qualifications with sport components, and private providers run short certificates. This is a one-year diploma awarded by Mind Power University, Bhimtal.
How do I become a sports psychologist in India?
Properly, through psychology: a bachelor’s and then a master’s in psychology, with RCI or equivalent registration where clinical practice is involved. This diploma is not that route. It prepares you for mental conditioning and athlete support work inside a team or academy, which is a real job and a different one. We would rather you knew that before applying than after.
What is the difference between this diploma and a psychology degree?
A psychology degree is a three or four-year qualification in the discipline, and the entry point to clinical training. This is a one-year applied diploma in the sporting context.
