Short answer: yes, it is a recognised State Private University, and you can confirm that in about two minutes from a government website rather than from us. We would rather you did.
Mind Power University, Bhimtal, Nainital awards every degree Sportal recruits for. We are not the university — we operate the IMPACT campus facilities on its Bhimtal campus and teach the sports programmes there. That distinction matters when you are checking a qualification, so this page is about the university, with sources.
It is also a fair question to ask, because the search results for it are a mess. Aggregator sites give the founding year as both 2002 and 2024, and list different combinations of approvals, none of them citing where the information came from. Here is what the state itself publishes.
Two Things We Would Rather You Heard From Us
The university was established in 2024, so it is new. What it is not is unrecognised — those are different objections, and the second one is the one worth checking
The 2027-28 session is the first degree intake for our programmes, so there is no graduating cohort, no placement record and no alumni to introduce you to. Anyone quoting you placement figures for these degrees is quoting something that does not exist
Sportal Corporate is a private company, not a university. We recruit, we teach on the Bhimtal campus, and MPU awards the degree. If anyone tells you otherwise, including anyone working for us, they are wrong
Teaching happens at Bhimtal only. Our Haridwar and Lucknow addresses are administrative offices — no classes, no examinations, no study centre
Every fee is published on this site rather than quoted on request, which means you can compare us against the government option before you ever speak to us

Is Mind Power University UGC approved?
It is a State Private University established under the Uttarakhand Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2024, and listed as such by the Governor of Uttarakhand. A university established under a State Act falls within the definition of a University in Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, which is what gives it the power to award degrees in its own name. Section 12(B), which governs eligibility for UGC grants, is a separate status that most newly established universities do not hold, and we do not claim it. Is Mind Power University genuine or fake?
Genuine. It appears on the Government of Uttarakhand’s own list of private universities, with its Bhimtal address and the Act it was established under. The reason the question gets asked is that the university is new — established 2024 — and the aggregator pages describing it are inconsistent and unsourced. The government list settles it in under two minutes and does not require trusting us.

Is there a "Mind Power University Act, 2024"?
No, and this site said there was until 4 November 2026, which was our error. No Act exists specifically for this university. It was established under the Uttarakhand Private Universities (Amendment) Act, 2024, the same instrument that created DBS Global University, Maya Devi University and Smt. Manjira Devi University in the same year. We corrected it everywhere rather than quietly, because anyone who checked would have found no such Act and reasonably concluded we had invented the whole thing.
Will a degree from Mind Power University be valid for government jobs and higher studies?
A degree awarded by a State Private University established under a State Act is a valid Indian degree. What it qualifies you for depends on the post, not on the university: a government physical education teaching post, for example, is advertised for an NCTE-recognised B.P.Ed, and a B.P.E.S. is a different qualification whoever awards it. Always read the recruitment notification for the specific post you want rather than relying on any college’s marketing.
Who actually teaches the sports programmes — Sportal or the university?
Mind Power University awards the degrees and holds all academic authority: admissions approval, examinations and conferment. Sportal Corporate operates the designated facilities on the university’s Bhimtal campus, which we call the IMPACT campus, and delivers the sports programmes there. Both statements are true at once and neither replaces the other.
